About SAB MEDICAL CENTRE
SAB medical centre is located in Mpala along Entebbe-Kampala just at the traffic lights Bubuli round about. It started as a small Imaging Centre in August 2014 offering ultrasound scan services include general abdominal, pelvic, gyn, obstetric, Doppler and cardiac Echo..
In 2015 Jan the Imaging Centre expanded to include a medical Centre (SAB Medical Centre) operating on day basis.
In December 2016, the Medical Centre relocated to a temporally building because of the construction of Entebbe Express high way to another facility still in Abaita Ababiri and more services were added and started operating 24 hours. This building was not easily accessible and had no very limited parking space.
OUR JOURNEY
In Jan 2018 we got a wider facility that is easily accessible, could allow more servces to be added and with a wider parking space and that is where we are located up to date.
The Medical Centre offers in and outpatient services. It has a bed capacity of 16 beds. a well-equipped Laboratory, maternity section, operating theatre, a pharmacy that move together with the Imaging Department.
The medical centre has a good number of Staff and Specialists to run the facility 24 hours and to handle Emergencies.
We are dedicated to offer an integrated sustainable health services with compassion. These include preventive health, treatment, health promotion and individual developments.
Staffing
- 3 full time medical officers
- Two clinical officers.
- One general surgeon
- Two part time gynecologist handling maternity
- One orthopedic surgeon and one orthopedic officer.
- One optician.
- Two (2) Laboratory Technologist full time and one lab technician.
- One senior medical imaging technologist and two radiographers.
- Four senior Midwives
- Two Enrolled nurses
- Three cashiers.
- Two cleaners / housekeeping staff to maintain a clean environment
- The facility in addition to that employs Two Security Officers to maintain a secure environment.
In addition, we offer community health services which include; school health, health education, community imaging / Ultrasound sound services.
The Medical Centre aims at meeting health demands for all classes of people / social groups.
